Walton & Sunbury Sea Cadets

For over 80 years the Walton & Sunbury Sea Cadets, based on the riverside in Shepperton, has supported thousands of young people, devloping their skills and giving them the best chance in life. Their building, now 80 years old, requires replacing and their exciting plans for a new training centre are already underway. But they require some additional funds and have applied for a grant from Your Fund Surrey.

On the Your Fund Surrey website, the Sea Cadets state "We have already raised enough funds to complete construction of the building shell. This new project is seeking the remaining £353k of the £477k needed to fund the final leg, fitting out the building internally to create classrooms, changing rooms, kitchen and hall. These new facilities will benefit our cadets and also provide support to various youth and community groups seeking access to the river for boating and training. With a breath-taking view of the Thames, it will also serve as a stunning hub for community classes and events."

To get the grant they need residents' support . Please visit: https://yourfundsurreyproposals.commonplace.is/en-GB/proposals/sunbury-and-walton-sea-cadets/step1 to pledge your support for the proposal and comment on the benefits the Cadets bring to the community.
