Cllr Barry Cheyne

Barry moved to Walton over 50 years ago with his parents. He married and brought his two children up in Hersham. He's continued to live locally ever since and now lives in Walton.

Barry was first elected to Elmbridge Borough Council in 1994 and has represented Walton Central since 2022. He has been on all the main council committees, currently serving as Chairman of the Planning Committee. Barry has also sat on many local charity trustee boards, including Walton Charity and the Charity of Robert Phillips, and was the Mayor of Elmbridge in 2010-11.
