The 555 bus no longer terminates at the Heathrow Central Bus Station (CBS). However it will now stop at Heathrow Terminal 4 and Hatton Cross Picadilly Line Underground Stations. The Piccadilly line also serves stations at Terminals 2 & 3 and Terminal 5. (Terminal 1 was closed in 2015). The other end of the 555 route has also been changed. It no longer travels to Whiteley Village. It terminates at the Bear in Bridge Street and starts from Hepworth Way. The frequency of the 555 is being improved so it becomes a half hourly service. A new route, the 459, will operate between Staines and Whiteley Village. This will be an hourly service, and will be timed to arrive at the Bear about 5 minutes after every second 555 bus arrival.
The changes improves the service between central Walton and Walton Station in that both the 458 & 459 will stop at the same stop at the station when travelling in the same direction. (Previously the 458 stopped on one side of station Avenue and the 555 on the other when travelling in the same direction e.g. towards Walton central). Also for part of the day the Service between Walton and the Station will be truly half hourly rather than the previous situation when the gap was very uneven.
